Through countless hours of research, antenna iteration, and lab and real-world testing, our engineers refined an approach to antenna design that vertically stacks the UHF and cellular antenna elements and provides the required isolation between UHF and cellular signals.
Vertical stacking takes advantage of the fact that the strongest radiation occurs in the plane perpendicular to the antenna’s length, with minimal energy being radiated along its axis.

The Zetifi Smart Antenna app connects to your antenna via Bluetooth® to enable changes to settings, firmware updates, and location-based CEL-FI optimisation.
ZetiLink™ maps that indicate band selection and urbane areas where boosting isn’t essential are loaded to the app and transferred to the memory of the Smart Antenna processor.
Installation and operation
Installing the Combo Smart Antenna is straightforward but we strongly recommend professional installation by an auto electrician to ensure optimal performance and safe operation.

Can I install the Smart Antenna myself?
We strongly recommend professional installation by a qualified auto-electrician to ensure safe operation and optimal performance. Many of our dealers offer installation as part of the sale, or you can download our installation guide via this link and provide it to your preferred auto-electrician or other suitably qualified installer.
Where should the Smart Antenna be installed?
We recommend installing our Smart Antenna on the bullbar of your vehicle (if you have one). If you have a secondary antenna installed for another purpose, it is recommended that you install the Smart Antenna on the opposite side of the bullbar or with enough separation to minimise any interference. If you do not have a bullbar on your vehicle, it is possible to mount the Smart Antenna to a bracket on your bonnet; however, please speak with your installer to ensure that the mounting bracket and screws are heavy-duty enough to suit the weight and height of the Smart Antenna to keep it secure.
Can I install it on a fold-down bracket?
Yes, but please ensure the fold-down bracket you choose is durable enough to hold the Smart Antenna securely when extended. You should always return it to its correct upright position before driving to ensure optimal performance.
Where should the Smart Antenna be installed?
We recommend installing our Smart Antenna on the bullbar of your vehicle (if you have one). If you have a secondary antenna installed for another purpose, it is recommended that you install the Smart Antenna on the opposite side of the bullbar or with a separation of at least 68-126cm or 131-253cm to minimise any interference. If you do not have a bullbar on your vehicle, it is possible to mount the Smart Antenna to a bracket on your bonnet; however, please speak with your installer to ensure that the mounting bracket and screws are heavy-duty enough to suit the weight and height of the Smart Antenna to keep it secure.
Does the Smart Antenna still work if it loses power?
Yes! If the Smart Antenna loses power for any reason, it will continue to function as a traditional low-gain antenna; however, it will not be able to switch between gain modes. You also won’t be able to monitor or control the antenna via the companion app.
How much power does the antenna draw?
0.5W 12V. A low voltage cutoff setting that is built into the antenna automatically turns the antenna off if it reaches the low voltage threshold, so it doesn’t drain your battery. You can also view and adjust the wake-up and shut-off voltage thresholds via the Smart Antenna companion app.
How do I download and use the Smart Antenna companion app?
Search for the Zetifi Smart Antenna app in the Google Play or App Store to find and download the app. Instructions for using the app are available when you open it. Any mobile handset that runs iOS (version 13.4 and newer) or Android (version 6.0 and newer) can download and use the app. You do not need to install the app on other devices in the vehicle to receive enhanced mobile coverage from the cellular booster.
Does the app need to be running for it to work?
No. The companion app allows you to monitor the antenna and is used to push terrain maps and occasional firmware updates to the antenna via Bluetooth, but once this information has been loaded into the memory of the Smart Antenna, it functions as an independent device.
Can you connect a Smart Antenna to a cellular gateway or router as well as signal repeaters?
Absolutely. The Smart Antenna uses a standard SMA connector and is suitable for providing an optimal cellular signal to any device that requires cellular coverage. A cellular gateway or router is a great way to use the Smart Antenna to provide Wi-Fi in and around your car.
Can a Smart Antenna be powered by 24V, or does it require 12V?
The Smart Antenna needs to run on 12V. However, if you have a 24V power supply, you can use a 24V to 12V DC-to-DC converter, which can be purchased from retailers like Jaycar.
